Christmas Afloat on the Black Warrior

Check out the literal "floats" from Christmas Afloat 2008 on the Black Warrior River.

  •
Christmas Afloat 2008. A wonderful jaunt down the mighty Black Warrior River.
  •
    What a beautiful day!
  •
These guys came prepared with a camper and grill... not to cook food, to keep everyone warm.
  •
The Black Warrior at its most prestine.
  •
Oh, yeah, when the sun sets we'll check out the actual parade. But let's look around a little more.
  •
No, that's not the parade. That's just Billy Bassmaster trying to catch some fish before the real action starts.
  •
    Family portrait.
  •
    Look it's a cute dog!
  •
    And a cute kid!
  •
This dog tried to eat the other small dog. This dog's name was "Wrinkles Magoo" and the dog he ate was "Gnarls Barkely". Ok, I made up those names, but one of them is real.
  •
The riverwalk. A wonderful place to walk by the river.
  •
    Mo Family! Bada Bing!
  •
    A dalmation
  •
    And his poop scooper person.
  •
The infamous Bama Belle. A wonderful tradition in Tuscaloosa.
  •
    You've been shamelessly plugged.
  •
You know what this means don't you?
  •
This is my attempt at time lapse photography. Pitiful. Ok, the parade is soon.
  •
These people are bundled up and in a group hug to avoid the cold.
  •
The world's biggest porta-potty is at the riverwalk.
  •
HEEEEEYYYY LLLLLADDDY, You've got a nice puppy. Now TAKE MY PICTURE!
  •
And it begins.... We'll now be silent so you can truly get in the Christmas Spirit. Rudolph, the red nose reindeeeeerrrr....
